Team Building Games/Activities
Teens learn best when they're having fun, so we put a large emphasis on activities and games that are fun for everyone.
Along with fun socializing games we use simulations of real world problems to give the teens a chance to face issues and challenges that help them to expand their critical thinking and communication skills. Some of those simulations are; being a battlefield medic, launching a political campaign, presenting a court case, and planning a big event.
Leadership Lessons
We discuss principles and skills of leadership each week at the beginning of our meetings. The mentor teaches a principle on such topics as communication, mental/physical health, self-development, and more.
The lessons are kept short and sweet but include powerful tools the teens can put into effect in their lives right away such as the 5-second rule, the 6 Human Needs, the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, The 5 Love Languages, and the Big 5 Personality Framework.
